Using the Member Portal
The first time you go to access the Member Portal you must REGISTER. From then on you simply log in.
How to use the Member Portal
The HOME screen is the first page that opens when you log into the Portal. This will show your Membership number, status and any outstanding amounts owing.
Experiment with the links that appear. Below are some common links and their use:
- HOME - this will appear in the top left of any page you have clicked on. Use this to return to the Home page /main menu from any page.
- LOG OUT - use to securely close the portal and log out when finished
- HELP - in top right hand corner - click to see the email address at which to request help if needed
- Change your password - use to change or update your password. Note a passphrase is preferred. You must obtain a 50% strength rating to be able to save any changes
- Change my Contact Details - use to update your personal details eg address / email etc - click on
- Classes - use to enrol in classes
- My Classes - use to view the list of Classes you are enrolled
- You can also email your tutor, advise them that you will be absent from a class or access any class resources within this section
- Pay Owing - use to pay any outstanding amounts. This will only be displayed if you owe money
- If you enrol in classes first, you can pay for these and any membership owing at the one time using on Pay Owing
- Renew Membership - use to pay your Membership Renewal
- Read any messages that appear warning you to check if you have already paid for the current year to make sure you do not pay again which will mean you are paying for the next year
- Statement - use to view your member statement showing all payments previously made
- Documents - use to view KMVU3A documents eg Constitution, safety information, Incident form
- Print Name Tag - use to print your KMVU3A name tag. Cut out, fold and place in your plastic holder
- Tutor Portal. ONLY Tutors will have the Tutor Portal link.
- Tutors can use this area to manage various aspects of their classes. Read more on the Tutor Portal here.
- Manage Events: Only members who are a contact for a special event will have this link. Various ways to manage the event are available.
TROUBLESHOOT issues
Below are some common reasons people have trouble logging into the Member Portal.
Email not found:
- Check that the email address you are entering is the one registered with KMVU3A in your membership record
- If you still cannot register, contact us
- If you share an email with another member you:
- MUST use your member number to log in - NOT your email
- Your member number will be on any emailed receipts from us
- OR email us and we will send it to you
- NOTE: You were allocated a NEW member number in Nov 2023 in this new system
- It is not any member number you may have had before Nov 2023
- Click on Reset Pin / Password
- Enter your email or member number if you share an email with another member and follow the instructions
- Note: a pass phrase is preferred. You must achieve 50% password strength to be able to save the change
