2025 End of Year Christmas Lunch
Scroll through these photos from the End of Year Lunch - held on 16 December. There was lively conversation, laughter, anticipation over the hamper draws as well as head scratching over the well organised puzzles. If you have some more photos please email them to us - we forgot to take many photos - sorry.
Thanks to Kempsey Heights Bowling Club for a festive Christmas and well organised meal consisting of turkey, pork and chicken and all the trimmings accompanied by pav or pudding. Thanks also to Margaret Jopling and her team of Event Organisers for organising the lunch. We wish everyone a joyous Christmas and look forward to seeing you in 2026.
2025 Mid Year Lunch
After a rescheduling to Saturday 9 August - the mid year lunch cruise finally happened. A leisurely cruise around the water ways of Port Macquarie was enjoyed by all, as well as good food, fun games that challenged the mind and yes - some wine. Despite the overcast weather a good time was had by all.
2025 - Life Membership Presentation to Margaret Jopling
At the 2025 AGM held on 6th May 2025 Margaret Jopling was presented with Life Membership of KMVU3A Inc in recognition of her many years of support of KMVU3A as a class member, class tutor, committee member, event manager extroadinaire and more. A well deserved award.
The award was presented by James Moulton, President 2025 who is shown with Margaret in the photo on the right.
2025 March - SWR - Biggest Morning Tea
The SWR Mahjong group recently held a fundraiser for the Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea and raised a huge $441.85 by donation.
What a great effort. Thanks to the organiser Julia Mayo and all those who attended.
2024 End of Year Lunch
The 2024 End of Year lunch was held at Hat Head Bowling Club held on Tuesday 17th December.
Many thanks to Margaret Jopling, Lois Hillard and their helpers for organising a great event and the club for a great meal and venue.
Congratulations to The Table of Knowledge who won the trivia quiz.
Also a huge thanks to the SWR Ukulele group for great entertainment. Merry Christmas everyone.
2023 June - KMVU3A 20th Anniversary Lunch
The KMVU3A 20th Anniversary lunch was held at Smithtown Sports and Recreation Club on Tuesday, 27th June 2023. View images below.
About 100 KMVU3A members enjoyed a wonderful lunch followed by two Birthday Cakes for dessert.
Many thanks to members of the Ukelele class who provided much enjoyed entertainment. As well thanks to the indefatigable Marg Jopling who organised a wonderfully cryptic quiz where members had to match current KMVU3A course offerings to song titles. Some were blindingly obvious, like "Ping Pong (song) = Table Tennis (of course)", but others were quite obtuse. Much fun was had by all.
